• #TheWayStationDayStation 97 is like the #batsignal but for elephants, which I probably should invest in. Fairly original concept and I think it was done again once. When you get 400 elephants they aren't all gonna be a new angle. By @thewaystation #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant — November 10, 2020 · 8:11 AM UTC · post
• #TheWayStationDayStation 96 is gorgeous and you already know that. There's a bunch of scribbles and this is the kind of thing that seems like a good idea and ends up like a trainwreck when an unskilled artist does it. One of the best in the bunch. This was done in 2019, not to say the artist was 19 years old. Obviously this is prime age 35–39 material here from @thewaystation and part of #TheWayStationDayStation #drawmeanelephant — November 8, 2020 · 4:56 PM UTC · post
• This one by @thewaystation was a two piece of paper job that said Dumbo up top. I don’t think I fully scanned the top part and my scanner died on me. The addition of tusks really helped with the realism of this drawing. I’m gonna say the omission of a trunk is not a dealbreaker for me. #TheWayStationDayStation #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant — November 8, 2020 · 9:34 AM UTC · post

• #eleelvis is smoking and I love any elephant that is smoking as a rule. This is 93 of #TheWayStationDayStation and nearing the end of them. One of my favorites and drawn well enough to get the point across. Not the kind of elephant you want to take home to your parents, though I think really surprising your parents with any elephant is most likely a bad idea. #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant — October 26, 2020 · 7:03 AM UTC · post
• #TheWayStationDayStation 92 made an elephant of my name. Kind of cool other than I absolutely hate it when people abbreviate my name. #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant — October 25, 2020 · 5:47 AM UTC · post
• Okay as everyone who has followed me for awhile knows I'm not super big on sounding stupid so I assume drawings are good. I had the other drawing explained to me and it's got some Fench stuff going on which I don't understand nor did I really make an attempt to listen. I did note that it was special and #googletranslate said not an elephant but it really is a picture of an elephant. This one says is like the opposite but they wrote it in American so if you took this over to France it would also be high art. It's all a matter of perspective. #drawmeanelephant #TheWayStationDayStation 91 #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant — October 24, 2020 · 3:11 PM UTC · post
• #TheWayStationDayStation 90 is just god-damned awful and probably could have been skipped on being #reposted #posted or even #mailed as it's garbage, but still better than elephants it's statistically cost $40 for, without calling anyone out. #drawmeanelephant — October 24, 2020 · 3:04 PM UTC · post
• 88-89 are front and back for #TheWayStationDayStation and by an author I need to make a tag for, as they have done a lot of them. This had a bunch of elephants going small, which we are down to the smols already. The other elephant takes a concept I think someone else could flesh out better. Either way, really like all of this person's elephants and seems really like the most interesting of the bunch, not to detract from people like @galusaurus or any of the other strange strange people who go to @thewaystation as they all seem like madmen. I had several people in the booze business know them and other people who know the the area describe the place as weird. I supposed I'll never find out. #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant — October 24, 2020 · 3:01 PM UTC · post
• 85 of #TheWayStationDayStation is not that great, and I also scanned it twice. You're also looking at 86. • Okay so #TheWayStationDayStation 82 is where this really starts falling off the rails. This is by @galusaurus who has done a whole bunch of art that I know nothing about, but did two of the best pieces for this as well as some art for The Cocktail Guide to the Galaxy, by Andy Heidel at @thewaystation and many other booze projects. Either way, elephants 83 on average less than an inch and are frequently nonelephants. • Again 81 of #TheWayStationDayStation shows that typically age 30 isn't a solid age to draw elephants. I'd say 36-38 is peak based on those signed. Another of the #hundredreposts of @thewaystation #drawmeanelephant — October 21, 2020 · 6:20 PM UTC · post
• #nameandage helps me out enormously when judging elephant drawings. With a quick glance I can say without any doubt "yep, that's an elephant by a 30 year old". Cuts the guesswork. Number 80 of #TheWayStationDayStation #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant — October 21, 2020 · 6:12 AM UTC · post

• I had it in my head I posted this before, not like a year ago so much as a week ago. No matter. #TheWayStationDayStation 78 is a wine glass of elephant drinking with something coming off the side. I honestly said #squirrel and started thinking about the signature for entirely too long before understanding that to be the reflection. • Putting the year something is drawn doesn’t have the same effect as the age of the artist. Who cares when they drew it? How old was this person? • This one from @thewaystation has the artist’s #nameandage right on it, which I love. Sometimes a drawing looks mad sus and maybe not any good, then you see they are 43 years old and it makes perfects sense to have an elephant lion that way. #TheWayStationDayStation #drawmeanelephant #hundredreposts — September 25, 2020 · 1:35 PM UTC · post

• Another super cute elephant from @thewaystation as part of my #hundredreposts for #TheWayStationDayStation and really mostly only good because of the eyes. The wrong eyes would have made it a whole different ballgame. #drawmeanelephant — September 20, 2020 · 11:41 AM UTC · post

• #TheWayStationDayStation 60 and 62 are front and back of the same sheet and 61 relates to 62 so I'm lumping them. Two very different drawings. I think last time I posted these I pointed out the creepy Hentai Trunktacle Pleasure Party or something creepy, but the reverse side gets weirder. There is a dolphin and maybe a computer mouse which leads in to another drawing of an elephant who probably got rescued by a dolphin and had to service the dolphin orally for payment. • I’m not sure what’s in this trunk or if @mattystapes is the same author or just a brand they are promoting. I want to assume there is something more going on. • #TheWayStationDayStation 52 was by a #sandiego resident, which means they are naturally going to be great at drawing elephants due to the @sandiegozoo having pretty strong elephant showing. I love stereotyping people by their city and oversimplified assumptions like this. I had a pretty good mom kind of comment if @bivouaccider knew who the author was like San Diego was #mayberry and everyone knows each other. #drawmeanelephant — September 19, 2020 · 12:07 PM UTC · post

• I think this artist does a #rebus of sorts or maybe like #pictionary style art to spell out #elephant in drawings. She did several drawings and I like them all, include 48 recently. • #TheWayStationDayStation 51 is just a pretty poor effort and also huge. I’m not sure if those are the correct terms and not going to check the internet. This was one of the #hundredreposts by @thewaystation and almost the half way point. • #TheWayStationDayStation 48 has a lot going and it’s not really apparent what’s going on. This author did all of the elephants here as individual drawings and I’m not making the connections as to why. If this was one of those crime dramas with the thumbtack board with strings connecting the elephant drawings I’d have an epiphany and move one of the tacks to solve this. Unfortunately, probably just gonna give up and get baked. • @thewaystation artists ran out of ideas with elephants somewhere and did a number of non-elephant drawings such as this presumably elephant-containing box. Independently if any brewery sent in just a picture of a box with words indicating that there is an elephant inside it would pass for an elephant in my book. #drawwhateveryouwant #TheWayStationDayStation #drawmeanelephant #hundredreposts — September 4, 2020 · 6:56 AM UTC · post
• #TheWayStationDayStation 43 and 46 has all the elements of an elephant, but really just doesn't bring it together to make it to the top ten of @thewaystation for its #hundredreposts #drawmeanelephant I apparently scanned this one twice so for the sake of keeping my numbering sane to me and only me, this guy has two entries. — September 4, 2020 · 6:52 AM UTC · post

Then you take into account the purple is pretty much perfect for the wine and see Anders (Age 50) and think "Classic Anders (Age 50)". 31/#hundredreposts and art from @thewaystation — August 27, 2020 · 7:27 PM UTC · post

• This #TheWayStationDayStation really gets you thinking. The name and age really helps because like I’ve got elephants from like @maeby.unicorn who could potentially be a lot better by 40. That’s why the age thing is important. See “Martha age 75” with weak elephant drawing game and just wonder what have you been doing your whole life, Martha? • #TheWayStationDayStation 27 🐘 I normally don’t like to ridicule drawings as they are already better than me regardless of how terrible they are. That said, this one brings out something and I just want to make fun of it. This one is kind of signed and some of the later ones have a name and age, which I just love. So no one reads this far, but putting your age also makes the drawing #automagically3xbetter just like signing it. The official pop. I need to better document the trick bag moves to win my approval. @thewaystation #drawmeanelephant — August 23, 2020 · 6:45 PM UTC · post
• Okay this is day 25 of #TheWayStationDayStation and that means we’re skipping 26 since that was @galusaurus elephant that was awesome in the reverse side. This elephant from Nick and Angela was pretty okay but I think one person drew it and gave the other person credit they don’t deserve, or are just rubbing in that the have a committed relationship where they are comfortable with the association. As long as it’s not 24/7 matching outfits. This @thewaystation elephant isn’t really great by there standards but I checked the next one and at 2 a.m. closing time when you see the next one you’ll want to take Nick and Angela’s elephant home. #drawmeanelephant #hundredreposts — August 23, 2020 · 6:39 PM UTC · post

• Okay so this is the prized piece I think of all @thewaystation elephants 🐘 This #TheWayStationDayStation is a #twofertuesday on a Saturday as both day 22 for the front and day 26 for the back. The artist is @galusaurus who is just amazing. This one is in the showdown for the top three best I have in my collection and I'm truly honored to own this one. It's really the prize of my collection, though sentimentally I like others more (including a trunk only piece she also did). She did some art including the #starwars #sarlacczerac illustration from #cocktailguidetothegalaxy which is pretty close to a drink that was popular at @grendels_den when I went there ages ago and is a #gentlemanscocktail aka #shitton of #booze which are charming if you want all the frill and fuss of a girlie drink but more like oak candy. Also the book showed up and here's some terrible photos that prove I own it but don't spoil the content. It's actually a fantastic book and pretty much the exact same thing as #mulesandmore book in style but actually good. It's not the first shot by any means at a drink recipe book but it's kind of holy hell out there good. I looked through their Instagram or something from when they were finishing the book up and I failed to realize the thing is an insanely professional book. In the course of thumbing through that I saw they also closed down due to COVID-19 permanently as that shit's unworkable for where they are in Brooklyn for a long time. That was kind of a bummer and if anyone notices I try to keep things not serious this sort of thing is really a reminder of the crippling effect COVID-19 has had on my potential elephant artists. #drawmeanelephant #walloftext — August 22, 2020 · 7:29 PM UTC · post

So I'm just gonna post one daily as #thewaystationdaystation and pretend like it is charming rather than lazy. So I have all my #elephantbutts tagged and I may make something more dedicated. #andyheidel did probably the most legendary job and as I probably said a hundred times it is probably the most famous person to #drawmeanelephant and does a book called #cocktailguidetothegalaxy that is supposed to be amazing but I can't read and I heard rumors some of it was in metric and that's a hard pass for me. Totally just bought the book and if there is an address anywhere in that book you can be damned certain I'll write it. Also, when I saw #only1leftinstock I figured I better get it since I already got got his #autograph and #elephantdrawingsarejustautographs #hundredreposts — August 16, 2020 · 8:44 AM UTC · post
