- @jonescreekbrewing makes #beermoochingelephants explain the whole process of brewing beer in order to get free drinks. Elephants are naturally quite adept at explaining saccharide chains (and really more over any carbohydrate), so they added some geometry. - Okay so @rhinelanderbrewery obviously has #beermoochingelephants like all breweries and instead of making them do tricks they just send them out to fish with the #hodags who are everywhere around there. Hodags and elephants are natural born fishing buddies and it works out okay other than takes quite a few beers. This drawing almost was disqualified as I don't take photocopies. It did have a signature done in pencil rather than a photocopy of the signature, so I think that makes this like an art print that I can accept. Hopefully they send the original too as I'll probably need that if this elephant wants to become part of the actual collection. I threw away probably in the top 3 nicest elephants I've received for a photocopy the other day and the place said the guy doesn't give out originals. Maybe when finding an elephant artist make sure they will give you the elephant and not just send you a picture of it it. I want whole elephants and not elephant copies. - @hangar24brewing requires all elephants to complete a solo transatlantic flight in order to get free beers. As I've said numerous times elephants freeload booze and breweries come up with two tricks for elephants to pull to earn the beers. I think this elephant certainly earned their beer and is going to be in for a surprise when he finds out the nearest #hangar24brewery is in Arizona and the second trick required is #roadtripping coast to coast. - Okay so for @dynavap annual launch of the #2020M they did a #karmavap thing and I got an elephant drawing and 3D printed elephant. The top comment on my thread was @reddit user u/CanITendTheRabbits who taught me that elephants have two tiddies like humans and illustrated it with this elephant pole dancing for some spare bucks. - Social distancing has hit all of us hard and this elephant from @fullfledgedbeer has been hit harder than any of us. Being forced only two babes to maintain a safe six feet is a tough time he'll probably not forget even after what appears to be a 30 liter glass of beer. - @strikebrewingco v absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark with this elephant by @drinksanjose who is about to knock it out of the ballpark it looks. I'm not sure what the motion lines are on about but this was done in a nice sturdy marker like a @sharpie with a fatter tip like the industrial. I got this initially as a copy and had not much hope it would show up in its original form, but it did and is way better than I thought it would be based on the photocopy version mailed to me (I don't scan or photograph copies because if you've worked in an office you know how stupid you feel doing that and I have have seen enough emails of scans of emails to know that not a rabbit hole I wanna run down). #drawmeanelephant #beermoochingelephants — March 25, 2020 · 5:38 PM UTC · post
- @westsixth had a problem with elephants coming in and mooching drinks so they require each elephant perform two tricks if they want a free beer. - @boqueronbrewingco sent this elephant and is probably going to be the only brewery from Puerto Rico who does, so big respect for that. Also this is done in what I’m thinking is just standard @biccristalmx blue, which I’m always in awe of. Not sure if this is a #thorstyboi or if he’s being super helpful force carbonating. - Okay so I said @fisherbrewing sent some other stuff and I think that’s called foreshadowing, which makes the rest of this shadowing. The sticker has a drop shadow on the whole hop and fish, which for some reason looks really good. I’m hoping they got “Drop-shadows. A Guide by Martin Buchanan”. The elephant is on some next level stuff and it’s kind of hard to describe. I will say that the shadows aren’t really aiming for realism even though this elephant is setting a much more reasonable standard of beauty compared to some of these model elephant types.
